Project Overview

Developed a custom Magento 2 extension that seamlessly integrates UPS WorldShip and Endicia (USPS) shipping services into the Magento Admin Panel. The module enables store administrators to retrieve live shipping rates, generate shipping labels, automatically create Magento shipments, attach tracking numbers, and notify customers without leaving the order management interface.


The extension supports OAuth authentication for both shipping providers, configurable carrier settings, automated token caching, secure credential management, AJAX-powered shipment workflows, CLI testing utilities, detailed logging, and a fully integrated admin experience. The solution significantly streamlines warehouse operations by eliminating manual label generation and reducing shipping errors.

The Challenges

The project required integrating two different shipping providers, each with unique authentication methods, API structures, shipping services, and label formats. The solution also needed to fit seamlessly into Magento's shipment workflow while maintaining security, reliability, and a user-friendly admin experience.

What I Did

Designed and developed a modular Magento 2 extension supporting UPS OAuth 2.0 and Endicia OAuth authentication, live shipping rate retrieval, automatic shipping label generation, shipment creation, tracking number assignment, shipment email notifications, OAuth token caching, secure encrypted credential storage, AJAX-based admin workflows, and CLI commands for API connectivity testing.

The Outcome

Reduced the time required to process shipments by automating rate calculation, shipping label generation, tracking assignment, and shipment creation directly within Magento. The solution minimizes manual work, improves shipping accuracy, and enables warehouse teams to process customer orders more efficiently.
