Sports South Inventory Integration for Magento 2
Project Overview
Developed a custom Magento 2 extension that integrates Sports South Web Services with Magento to automate inventory synchronization. The module securely connects to the Sports South SOAP API, retrieves full and incremental inventory updates, stores the data as CSV files, and processes it through the AkStackPro Import Inventory engine to update Magento stock levels.
The extension supports automated cron-based synchronization, manual CLI execution, configurable batch processing for large catalogs, encrypted API credentials, detailed logging, and seamless Magento Admin configuration. It significantly reduces manual inventory management while ensuring accurate product availability across the store.

The client required a reliable inventory synchronization solution capable of handling large product catalogs without affecting store performance. The integration also needed to support incremental inventory updates, secure API authentication, configurable scheduling, and seamless compatibility with Magento's inventory management system.

Implemented automated nightly full synchronization, hourly incremental updates, batch-based inventory processing, encrypted credential storage, CLI commands for manual execution, configurable cron schedules, and comprehensive logging for monitoring and troubleshooting.
